Our Crazy Little Dairy Herd
Dairy goats, I don't know what it is about them, but I had to have one or two! We started out purchasing a registered Nubian doe, Gwnn, from Fiddle Faddle Farm in Pennyslvania. Our reasoning for purchasing Gwnn was having a free supply of milk to freeze for bottle kids. During the process of milking her I started trying goat milk, and I loved it!
After Gwnn, came our Nigerians! I'm a sucker for a super cute, smaller stature animal, and have always loved nigerians. Our first Nigerian was Jackie who came from Gillespie's County Line Farm near Kent Store, Virginia. The second nigerian we purchased came from Oreo's Haven in Fredericksburg, Virginia. All of our dairy does are registered and come from clean, tested herds. In the future, we plan on continuing with testing them for future selling purposes.
